The Fatty Acids - “Vulture”
If you’ve listened to my Summer Burn 2010 mixtape you’re already familiar with The Fatty Acids (see “Pissing Into Flames”). These dapper gents are Milwaukee locals who I first heard when they opened for the Rural Alberta Advantage at the beginning of the year and dang, do they put on a show. Super energy.
I suck at the music categorization game. Uhhh… how about we call ‘em psych-synth pop. Pffft. Told you I suck. I’ll resort to my metaphorical ways.
So you know those classic America’s Funniest Home Video clips of little kids eating things for the first time? Like ice cream. The toddler is kinda startled over how cold it is and then just starts geeking out over the sweetness. Or maybe it’s a sour patch kid. Or a pickle. I love that shit.
The Fatty Acids are the Pop Rocks to my inner 3 year old. Go download the great (and free) Stop Berries, Berries, and Berries, Berries and give it a spin. And then lets rock a little duck, duck, goose.
